Jared Kushner Suggests That Black Americans Don’t ‘Want To Be Successful’ https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

White House Senior Advisor Jared Kushner is under fire following a Fox News interview earlier today where he implied that Black people, who are “mostly Democrats,” don’t “want to be successful,” according to The Hill.

During the interview, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law was asked about meeting with Ice Cube to discuss his “Contract With Black America.”

“One thing we’ve seen in a lot of the Black community, which is mostly Democrat, is that President Trump’s policies are the policies that can help people break out of the problems that they’re complaining about,” Kushner stated. “But he can’t want them to be successful more than they want to be successful.”

“What you’re seeing throughout the country now is a groundswell of support in the Black community because they’re realizing that all the different bad things that the media and the Democrats have said about President Trump are not true and so they’re seeing that he’s actually delivered,” Kushner added.

Twitter was quick to respond to what some perceive as disrespect to the Black community from someone who didn’t have to work to obtain the success he has achieved.
